Is this workshop right for me?
No experience necessary. If you are an experienced artist but want to know more about how to use acrylics, or if you are a total beginner just starting on your artistic journey, or just want to have a relaxing painting weekend full of great tips and tricks then this course is for you.
How long does the workshop go for?
The weekend workshop starts at 9am and finishes at 3pm. With a 1/2 hr lunch break, 10 minutes for morning and afternoon tea.
Included in this workshop is use of our acrylic paints, mediums, brushes and also A2 Canvas Paper. Please bring some rags and a notebook.
How to Enrol
Online enrolment and payment is preferred. Click the Enrol button and add class/es to your shopping cart. Proceed to check out to complete your enrolment details and pay by PayPal secure payment gateway.
Paypal accepts most credit cards and/or PayPal accounts.
Alternate Payment Methods
We do accept direct deposit (bank transfer) or cheque/money order however you will need to contact the office by phone (0459 841 542) or email (email@example.com) to book your spot and acquire BSB and Account Number.
Cancellations and refunds
Should a class have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class or refund arranged.
Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness. Transfers, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class will be negotiated with Murray Charteris.
If you choose to withdraw from a workshop prior to 7 days before it’s commencement, you will be charged a $25 administration fee. Via agreement with Murray Charteris you may transfer the remaining value (class fee paid less administration fee) to another class or student, to be used within 12 months of the date payment was received.
If you choose to withdraw from a workshop prior to 1 or 2 days before it’s commencement, you will be charged 50% of the workshop fee. Via agreement with Murray Charteris you may transfer the remaining value (half of the value of the workshop fee paid) to another class or student, to be used within 12 months of the date payment was received.
NO refunds, transfers or credits if you withdraw from or cancel on the day of the workshop.
NO refunds, transfers or credits once the workshop has commenced.
Seniors/Pensioners and concession card holders- 5% discount on workshops.
From time to time we take photos during workshops of students and artworks. These photos are used on our website or promotional purposes such as press, advertising, brochures, social media, editorials. These photos will never be sold an will be used exclusively by Murray Charteris and for Art and Art lessons purposes only. Should you NOT wish us to take and use photos of you, please let us know at the workshop.
Occupational Health and Safety
If you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in the workshop, please discuss privately with Murray Charteris on the day.
Morning Tea and Afternoon Tea provided. Tea and Coffee facilities provided.
Please bring your lunch. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, sandwich press and toaster for your convenience.
What to wear
We recommend wearing flat, closed toed shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on! The art studio has heaters and fans, but no air-conditioning. So dress warm for winter and cool for summer.
We have convenient off the street parking – signage will be on the driveway directing you.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class starting.
